Zen Garden: a term coined in the west refers to a type of Japanese garden with a spiritual aspect, set in deep traditions. Zen gardens usually contain an enclosed setting either made of rock or wood to house sand, and small gravel. They also contain center pieces or (islands) consisting mainly of large rock formations, but not limited to ponds, bridges, and plenty of green life.
The idea is to create a harmonious scenery represented by large rocks and sand, symbolically portraying the earths islands, and oceans. With a unique rake as your paintbrush it’s up to you to create meaningful wave designs in your ocean, and the strategic placements of your islands. Ultimately inspiring a sense of peace, well-being, and appreciation for not only nature but life.
